100% of each sale goes directly to Angels Among Us.

Jewelry designer Susan Helmich has created striking new Angel jewelry and an ornament to support Angels Among Us, an event with a national network of volunteers, who raise funds to support research at The Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center at Duke. The 2008 event raised $1,145,911.
The Promise angel was created after Susan met Sherry Brinton, a brain tumor patient at Duke. Susan's mother had been stricken with a brain tumor. The new creation is similar in style to her popular Angels With Attitudes collection. It was created in memory and honor of all those who face the brain cancer journey—the patients, caregivers, doctors, nurses, families and friends.
The pendant is a freeform angel holding powerful wings aloft, with each aspect of the piece having meaning. The crossing of the wings at the tips represents trust, the anchor of promise. The interior line of the wings, which forms a flame, is the flame of hope that illuminates the path to fulfillment of the promise that research holds. The dual-sided design represents the continual flow of efforts by the Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center at Duke and those supporting it. Taken together, the various parts of The Promise Angel add up to a constant reminder that each day trust and hope continue—making the promise everlasting.
